Weird little problem with Windows 8

Using Windows 9 Pro with Media Center.

DVBViewer works fine but for one nuisance: the Favourites submenu list (right click on main screen, left click on "Favourites" entry) doesn't allow to slide down the list itself, in other words there is no Arrow down symbol to press to go down the list. Weirder still, this behavious is not present in the main menu list (right-click on main screen, Menu appears with Arrow Down symbol to go down to the very last entry, "Exit" that is).

Using the arrow down key on keyboard you can go down the Favourites list, but it seems like the list is longer than it should (in other words, you've got to keep it press for very long before the actual list on screen starts sliding). Arrow Up symbol works fine then

I don't mean to be a bother, but...it's really a bother. Obviously this behaviour is related to the fact that I set Windows8 screen to a zoom factor over 150%. Up to 125%, this problem doesn't occur, any larger zoom causes the aforementioned problem. With DVBViewer 5.0 as well...
