AACS

I have download the .dll (libaacs.dll) and keyfile (KEYDB.cfg).

Tried getting it working with VLC. I have placed the keyfile in C:\Users\Frank\AppData\Roaming\AACS

placed the libaacs..dll in the VLC folder. No joy with VLC, it will not play a 2 year old blu-ray disc.

 

I have tried with DVBViewer 5.0.0.0 after placing both key and .dll in the DVBViewer folder. No joy.

 

Maybe a few tips will be needed so we can get this running.

 

Where do DVBViewer expect the files to be in ?

Does DVBViewer need anything else apart from the keyfile and the single .dll (libaacs.dll)?

Does DVBviwer need the 32 bit .dll ?

I have PowerDVD installed, does that need to be removed for this to work (I saw a comment on a forum which mentioned this)?

 

 

A bit of guidance would be appreciated by anyone who gets this to work on W7.

IMHO you're asking for trouble. Though §13 of the board rules refers to DVB and CSA it should be clear that all kind of DRM should be respected. I will close this topic but if the admin thinks that this discussion is within the rules, the thread can be reopened.
