Nexus 10: Streaming DVB-S/S2

I purchased DVBViewer and MHEG 5 Engine for my TBS698 PCIe Card. I am very pleased with the setup. I initially used Windows Media Centre 7 and 8 (loved the UI) but found the settings severely lacking. I have a Google Nexus 10 on order and want to stream Live TV from DVBViewer using my PC and an Asus RT-N66U wireless router. Has anyone managed to stream Live TV to an Android device? I was wondering if it could be achieved with DVBViewer and BubbleUPnP.

Thanks for reading. :bye:

It would be fun to be able to stream DVBViewer's output to a mobile device (Nexus 7 in my case) but if you're in the UK it's easier to use the TVCatchup app which streams all the FreeSat channels to your 'phone or tablet.

I also 'share' my music, video and pictures folders on the PC and they can then be streamed over Wi-Fi using VPlayer.

Back to streaming DVBv's output though, what software connects to DVBv, the UPnP/DLNA server? If so, how, and why do you need BubbleUPNP? (Not doubting anyone, I'm just not clear how it's done.) Once it is set up, can you tell DVBv to record from your tablet/phone? That would be useful.

I managed to get a live DVB-S/S2 stream playing on my Nexus 10.

First I downloaded IPTV (http://goo.gl/VLKSu) and MXPlayer (http://goo.gl/vAJDS). Then I created a list of my DVBViewer channels (Live Streamserver) in m3u format:

#EXTM3U
http://192.168.2.213:7522/upnp/channelstream/0.ts
http://192.168.2.213:7522/upnp/channelstream/1.ts
http://192.168.2.213:7522/upnp/channelstream/2.ts

I opened the .m3u file in IPTV on the Nexus 10 and was able to browse all my FreeSat channels live using MX Player. Not sure if this is the best way top do it but it seems to work great.
