receiverbox Posted March 26, 2013 Share Posted March 26, 2013 Hi guys, recently, I had ordered a Pivox Xios: It is a cheap device and promise to have XBMC as a Linux Image available. I got the nice and shiny device with a quite handy remote, but after installing the Beta XBMC-Version from 2013-01-29 I had only little luck. XBMC booted up and work right out of the box, but connecting to a DVBViewer-Server did not satisfy. I gerneral it worked out but image quality was poor and I got frame dropes every now and then. Not acceptable... So I sent the device back. Maybe it works better with the final Linux-XBMC-Release... As the Xios is an ARM design I wasn't able to compile my own code and test latest plugins for XBMC. My feeling was the network connectivity was the problem. Quote Link to comment
