ccristal
Hi! After scanning EutelSat/Astra 28.2E using a transponder list downloaded from kingsat.net or lyngsat.com, I noticed that some of the channel names are different with respect to the ones reported by the tables on the corresponding web sites. The names on the web site are always more complete with respect to the scanned ones. For example, take a look at the channel names for the first frequency (10714.25H) on this table: http://it.kingofsat.net/pos-28.2E.php As you can see, the table reports long names for the Channel4 channels: Whereas the DVBViewer channel scanner reports them all simply as "Channel4" Now... is there any way - apart from manual editing - to use the long names in DVBViewer? Thanks! ccristal Edited May 12, 2013 by ccristal Quote Link to comment
Derrick
Now... is there any way - apart from manual editing - to use the long names in DVBViewer? No, the SI tables don't contain this information. It could be hidden in some private streams which are only readable by a skybox. Quote Link to comment

Just out of curiosity: how do KingOfSat and LyngSat access that info, then? And... do they export it in any way that can be imported in DVBViewer? I know they export the transponders lists, but how about the channel lists? Quote Link to comment

Thinking about it, I don't think the Sky Box has anything to do with the long channel names, since the same thing happens with channel names from the Hotbird 13.0E satellite. Any other idea?
