blion
I have finally upgraded to DVBViewer 5.1 and recording service 1.26 on my htpc. A lot of streaming live tv issues have been resolved but one annoying issue still remains. For some reason when i stream live tv over internet from htpc to another computer (computer at another location (not 3g but wired broadband) the download speed hovers around 40 to 45KBps per stream. If i start three simultaneous streams each stream max out at about 45KBps so about 135KBps in total. I also tried setting up a ftp server on my htpc and downloading from computer B and get speeds of 400KBps suggesting bandwidth is not an issue. Can someone help me out?? Is it a DVBViewer bug?? could it be my router?? is it a limitation of http streaming?? any help greatly appreciated. Want to attach my support zip file butits too big (1mb), is there another way of uploading it??? Link to comment
blion
Guess no one streams overseas but ended up resolving the issue which is due to the way TCP works. Increasing the buffer fixed it for me. Link to comment
