avcodec-53.dll Error Message

Hi,

after updating from DVBViewer 5.1.0 to 5.2.7 I received an error message "Program can not be started because avcodec-53.dll is missing on your computer".

I removed the DVBViewer installation and installed new the recent version - same error message coming twice after starting the application. After confirmation of the OK check boxes the program runs, but I am not sure how stable.

 

Any ideas?

Put the attached dll in the DVBViewer.exe folder (the main folder of DVBViewer)

You do not use the HbbTV engine, i suppose the messages comes from a decoder you are using. The probably best solution is to install the LAV Filters (http://1f0.de/downloads/) which run fine with almost every audio and video format. After installation you should select them under options->directx.
