PerryM Posted October 2, 2013 Share Posted October 2, 2013 (edited) I have a TBS 6981 card. About 9/10 times it works fine but 1/10 it opens with a bad signal. Not completely zero but usually too poor to get usable error rate. This happens both in live DVBViewer and with Recording Service. If I re-boot DVBViewer than I get a good signal again but (of course) I don't get this opportunity with RS and I lose the recording. The computer is a dedicated HTPC so spends most of its life asleep. I have tried changing sleep to hibernate but that doesn't change the problem. Because of the nature of this problem it can take hours to even test possible solutions! The 6981 has been superceded by the 6982, if there is a possibility that this is a hardware issue then I'll buy a replacement card.
