Cian
Hi All, I have always had problems with the audio when streaming BBC High Def recordings to my Sony BluRay player (BDP-S370). Picture would stream fine, but there would be no audio on AC3 2.0 tracks. I always blamed the player for this. I record in .TS format so as to retain the program information. I have tested with recordings that did not have the second NAR track, but it still does not play. I recently bought a Panasonic DMP-BD75 player and that is freezing the player when I try to play anything. The format of the .TS file is as follows: GeneralID : 2061 (0x80D)Complete name : F:\Recorded Video\01-17_19-58-00_BBC Four HD (AC3,eng)_Paul Tortelier at the BBC.tsFormat : MPEG-TSFile size : 2.87 GiBDuration : 1h 11mnOverall bit rate mode : VariableOverall bit rate : 5 714 KbpsVideoID : 5300 (0x14B4)Menu ID : 8931 (0x22E3)Format : AVCFormat/Info : Advanced Video CodecFormat profile : High@L4.0Format settings, CABAC : YesFormat settings, ReFrames : 4 framesCodec ID : 27Duration : 1h 11mnBit rate : 4 979 KbpsWidth : 1 920 pixelsHeight : 1 080 pixelsDisplay aspect ratio : 16:9Frame rate : 25.000 fpsStandard : ComponentColor space : YUVChroma subsampling : 4:2:0Bit depth : 8 bitsScan type : MBAFFBits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.096Stream size : 2.50 GiB (87%)Color primaries : BT.709Transfer characteristics : BT.709Matrix coefficients : BT.709Audio #1ID : 5301 (0x14B5)Menu ID : 8931 (0x22E3)Format : AC-3Format/Info : Audio Coding 3Mode extension : CM (complete main)Format settings, Endianness : BigCodec ID : 6Duration : 1h 11mnBit rate mode : ConstantBit rate : 192 KbpsChannel(s) : 2 channelsChannel positions : Front: L RSampling rate : 48.0 KHzBit depth : 16 bitsCompression mode : LossyDelay relative to video : -345msStream size : 98.9 MiB (3%)Language : EnglishAudio #2ID : 5302 (0x14B6)Menu ID : 8931 (0x22E3)Format : MPEG AudioFormat version : Version 1Format profile : Layer 2Codec ID : 3Duration : 1h 11mnBit rate mode : ConstantBit rate : 256 KbpsChannel(s) : 2 channelsSampling rate : 48.0 KHzCompression mode : LossyDelay relative to video : -423msStream size : 132 MiB (4%)Language : narTextID : 5304 (0x14B8)Menu ID : 8931 (0x22E3)Format : DVB SubtitleCodec ID : 6Duration : 1h 11mnDelay relative to video : 3s 990msLanguage : English Doing a little bit of research has shown that lines in the profiles config file can be modified, and so currently I have the following entry for the Sony Player: <profile name="Sony BDP"> <UserAgent>UPnP/1.0 DLNADOC/1.50</UserAgent> <Extensions> <Ext name=".mkv"> <MediaFormat mime-type="video/divx" special="">MATROSKA</MediaFormat> </Ext> <Ext name=".mpeg"> <MediaFormat mime-type="video/divx" special="">MPEG_PS_PAL</MediaFormat> </Ext> <Ext name=".mpg"> <MediaFormat mime-type="video/divx" special="">MPEG_PS_PAL</MediaFormat> </Ext> <Ext name=".ts"> <MediaFormat mime-type="video/divx" special="MPEG2">MPEG_TS_SD_EU_ISO</MediaFormat> <MediaFormat mime-type="video/divx" special="H264">AVC_TS_MP_HD_AC3_ISO</MediaFormat> <MediaFormat mime-type="video/divx" special="H264">MPEG_TS_HD_NA_ISO</MediaFormat> <MediaFormat mime-type="video/divx" special="H264">MPEG_TS_HD_AC3_ISO</MediaFormat> <MediaFormat mime-type="video/divx" special="H264">MPEG_TS_HD_KO_ISO</MediaFormat> </Ext> </Extensions> </profile> Two questions: 1. What do I need to modify in the above config file to get the audio working on the Sony? 2. How do I find out how the Panasonic player identifies itself to the DNLA server so that I can create a similar entry for it? Thanks, C. Edited January 18, 2014 by Cian Link to comment
