agam
Hi Everyone, I am new to DVBViewer and been reading a lot of comments on the forum. I have a few questions that I have not been able to find answers from the forum. So here are my questions: 1. Is RS also limted to channels on the same transponder during recording? 2. Is the maximum length of hours also 24hrs? 3. Is the option to split recoding file automatic after certain size or I can set it myself? 4. When files are splited during recording, what is the file naming convention for the new file created? 5. Can I setup recoding of channels from different TP at the same time? 6. is there a max no of channels I can record at a given time? These will help me to evaluate the suitability of RS for my project. Thanks Quote Link to comment
VinoRosso
1. Is RS also limted to channels on the same transponder during recording? If you got only one tuner, yes. This is no limitation of Recording Service, one tuner can only show one transponder. That is no software limitation. Quote Link to comment
Griga
1. Depends on the number of available tuners. E.g. with a twin tuner card you can record from two transponders at the same time. 2. Yes. 3. RS auto-splits recordings to a size a bit less than 4 GB if it detects that the target drive is FAT32 formatted. You may also set a split size manually as tweak. However, it is no official option anymore, because it is only rarely used, and may be dropped in future. You may also split a file to pieces of a certain size after it has been recorded by using the TSPlayer tool that is available in the customer area. 4. File.ts, File_001.ts, File_002.ts... 5. See 1. 6. No. Quote Link to comment
