Hauppauge PCTV Triblestick 292e compatible with DVBViewer

Hey

 

As subject says, is Hauppauge PCTV Triblestick 292e compatible with DVBViewer ?

 

Im trying to make DVBViewer to find out if i should buy it, but i cant make it search for channels as it says no hardware is installed.

 

So how do i make it see my TV Tuner ?

 

It is installed in device manager and shows as "PCTV 292e" and the PCTV program kan find and use it.

 

So is it compatible or what do i do ?

It seams there is a DVB-C DVB-T2 Hybrid chip which need a special treatment and is not supported by the DVBViewer.

An as far as I know there is currently no effort to change that.

 

So every one should be careful with DVB-C DVB-T2 Sticks in combination with the DVBViewer.

Well the in the first link, he says that he can scan with it :

 

I am using PCTV 292e tuner and tried few days to scan cable channels without any kind of success.

 

So he must have made it work, but how ?

As far as I understand he had no success with the DVBViewer.

 

Only "TVCenter 6" a different program seem to work.

So will the PCTV 292e tuner be added to DVBViewer's compatibility list ?

Got a PCTV Systems DVB-T2 292e the other day and it works ok with DVBViewer for UK Freeview HD

 

Also use a dvb-t2 290e and a WinTV-NOVA-TD
