Tyro
I have a HTPC with Nvidia 610 M graphic card. From the graphic card I have a HDMI cable to a soundbar (HDMI in) and from the soundbar (HDMI out) I have HDMI cable to the TV. With this solution I got the Picture but no sound. The soundbar manual suggest this connection. From the Nvidia panel I got the following message: A reapeter is attached to the system. Some videoprogram don´t support HDCP when there is a repeater attached to the system. So now I wonder if there is a solution to this problem? Quote Link to comment
wikings1
check settings in windows så hdmi sound device is choosen.. Then if your nvidia card have a sound Cable that shud be connected to the grafikcard. I Think its depends how old your card is. Regards wikings1 Quote Link to comment
dbraner
You can try another HDMI cable. Seems to be a problem with HDCP handshaking. Sometimes it's necessary to turn on the TV or the soundbar first and PC second. Quote Link to comment
