What I understand from reading here on the forum, is that video/audio decoders can make many strange things. Try to update the lav decoders or change to microsoft decoders

You should also update the Catalyst drivers. You are probably using Catalyst 13.4, which are old drivers. Also make sure the OS is up to date.
