hamish99
I'm new and green but why does the epg only give the next couple of hours programs when I've my dish pointed at Astra 28E? My sky box gives me days worth on the EPG timeline but DVBViewer seems only ever to give now an dnext info. Am I being thick, expecting too much or just don't know how to do it? Your assistance welcomed Quote Link to comment
Griga
expecting too much Probably yes. I'm quite sure the sky box receives a special kind of EPG - not accessible for others resp. only after paying licence fees - while the DVBViewer receives the "normal" official DVB data (poor man's version ). Gioxy
@hamish99 Probably you refer to MHW (Media HighWay) data, that your box can likely load; they are bouquet based and can be one week long, reporting also the "genre" data. A support for this kind of EPG was under development, but now the programmer(s) are heavily working on next version, so we have to wait sometime... Gioxy Quote Link to comment
Derrick
..media highway is related to mediaguard (seca) boxes. Sky is using opentv. Quote Link to comment
