enryfox
Hi, I am evaluating DVBViewer as a replacement for Windows Media Center and I'm trying to set-up the demo version with my DVB-T tuner. I have an old (2007) USB Hauppauge Win-TV Nova T-stick (actually it is rebranded as Elgato EyeTv) which is working fine with all other DVB programs (WMC, Media portal, Win-TV, DVB dream, NextPvr ...). During the initial wizard, the hardware is correctly detected and reported but if I start a range scan it just stays at the first frequency for a while (couple of minutes) then it jumps to the last frequency and it completes not finding any channel. Is my tuner actually supported (the feature list says it is) ? any further help/info i can provide to debug the problem, just ask me. thanks bye Enrico Edited July 14, 2015 by enryfox Quote Link to comment
Tjod
Is maybe a different program e.g. WMC background service running and using the hardware in the background? Post a support.zip may be we can see there something. Quote Link to comment
SimonP
Chances are Tjod is right but if it helps, I am using a genuine Hauppauge Win-TV Nova-T stick here with no problems so it's not a compatibility issue. Edited July 14, 2015 by SimonP Quote Link to comment
enryfox
Hi, thanks for the suggestions, yesterday evening i tried again installing from scratch DVBViewer, but first i killed all process related to WMC. This time the channel scan worked and i was able to list some 150 channels. thanks bye Quote Link to comment
