wmax
Good morning, Yesterday I installed a new TBS5980 S2 USB box. Everything works ok under DVBViewer 5.5.2 except for the CI support. The CAM menu remains empty and there is no signal of the encrypted channels. I use a Mediaguard CAM with a Canaldigitaal smartcard (Netherlands sat) and I am sure that these are ok. Has anybody tested this device? Please help! Quote Link to comment
INGBEAN
Hello wmax! Did you copy "TbsCIapi.dll" into program folder of DVBViewer? If yes, which version of DLL do you use? INGBEAN Edited September 18, 2015 by INGBEAN Quote Link to comment
wmax
Hello Ingbean, Thanks for your prompt answer. I did not find tbsciapi.dll in my DVBViewer program dir. Where can I find/download it? It is not on the tbs instalation cd. Wmax Quote Link to comment
INGBEAN
Hello wmax! Here is the link from download page: http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/document/common/tbs-cidll_v1.0.1.2.zip Please give feedback, whether this DLL works. INGBEAN Quote Link to comment
wmax
Hello Ingbean, After pasting v1.0.1.2 in the DVBViewer program dir still no succes. The OSD CAM menu remains blank. Note: My operating system is Windows10. Do you have another suggestion? Wmax Quote Link to comment
INGBEAN
Hello wmax! OK - I found a newer DLL. Please install TBSViewer. Link: http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/document/common/tbsviewer-v20150126.zip In program folder you find DLL V1.0.1.5 - copy it to DVBViewer program folder. You can try TBSViewer too (it is a "light" DVBViewer). INGBEAN Quote Link to comment
wmax
Hello Ingbean, Problem solved!!!! The downloaded version of Tbsviewer handeled the encrypted channels properly. So I copied the 3!! Tbsciapi.dll files to the dbviewer program dir and everything worked fine. I really appreciate your advice. Best regards, Wmax Quote Link to comment
Tjod
If you use the DVBViewer Pro Downloader (started after the setup or via start menu) to install the .dll "CI/Remote Support for Turbosight cards" you get version 1.0.1.6. Quote Link to comment
INGBEAN
@wmax: I'm happy to hear that. No problem, you're welcome. @Tjod: I was not sure, if DLL V1.0.1.6 helps this TBS5980-user. Because V1.0.1.6 was issued from TBS due to my problem with TBS5881. Please could you inform TBS-team to update their download page http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/ with a newer TBS CI API DLL-version (1.0.1.5 or 1.0.1.6)? Then other users would have this support benefit too. Have a nice weekend! INGBEAN Quote Link to comment
Tjod
The newest version should work with all devices. And I don't have any contact to TBS. I could only use the contact form there page like any one else. But I don't have a TBS card. So it is up to a TBS user to ask them to update there website. Quote Link to comment
INGBEAN
OK, I will take care about that. INGBEAN Quote Link to comment
wmax
@Tjod It may sound stupid but until now I did not know that Turbosight stands for TBS! Always glad to learn. Wmax Quote Link to comment
