Mohammed Yasir
Hi, I recently purchased DVBViewer from you but I had to wait about 20 days for my hardware to arrive. Now that my hardware has arrived i cannot search the channel through my cable tv connection. Really need your help in this regards. 1. These are the channels that i receive from my cable connection http://abohomanbangla.com/Bangladesh_web_directory/Bangladesh_tv_frequencies.html 2. I have no idea what to do. This is the screen i get but i don't know what to do (Attached) Quote Link to comment

Griga
Click the "Scan Range" button (see first screenshot). This will scan all 588 frequencies (parameter combinations) in the Cable All list, which takes quite some time. Usually it's better to use a transponder list (= frequency list) that contains exactly the frequencies of your cable provider. Please read more about it in the Wiki. Quote Link to comment
Tjod
The channel list you are linking to is for DVB-S (Satellite) therefore it is not possible to check if the necessary frequency's are in the Cable All list. And because of the DVB-S link, you are sure the channels are redistributed to you via DVB-C? Can you check the cable connection (wall outlet and antenna cable) with a receiver to make sure everything there is OK? 1 Quote Link to comment

Tjod
From the setting in the DVBViewer everything looks OK for me. And this is a Forum and not a chat. It can take some time until you get a answer. It is OK to ask again if you get no answer within 24-48 hour. But is is not OK to bump a Topic after 1-2 hours. Zitat OK and it the TV receives the signal via DVB-C (digital cable) and not as a analog signal or as a DVB-S signal? There are multiple technology which are used to distribute TV signals. The oldest solution is the analog signal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Analog_television Which is not supported by the DVBViewer, but it seem you having a TV card for it installed (Philips 713x TV tuner card). If you get only a analog signal from the wall outlet you need this canard an a different software (but I don't know which works with which card there haven't used analog TV in years). (Older TV Devices ) The there is DVB-C (digital cabel TV) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVB-C which should work with this TV card and the DVBViewer. The "Cable All" list includes al commonly used parameter combinations. But if you Cable TV provider uses not standard parameter you would need a list with the information what they are exactly using. And your TV card hast two antenna input and one DVB-T (digital antena TV) and one DVB-C tuner as far as represented by the Windows driver. Where the antenna cable for DVB-C signal needs to be connected should be in the manuals from the TV card. If you get a DVB-C signal from the wall outlet, and everything is connected correctly you should find channel via the channel scan. And then there is DVB-S/2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVB-S2 that is this where the parameters from your link are fore http://abohomanbangla.com/Bangladesh_web_directory/Bangladesh_tv_frequencies.html Therefore you would need a DVB-S2 TV card. Which is not in your PC. So you need to finger out what kind of TV signal you get (analog, DVB-T/2, DVB-C/2, DVB-S/2, ATCS or ISDB). Quote Link to comment

Tjod
Instead of a device, you can look up the reception type and parameter from the TV which is working or ask you cable TV provider what exactly they use. 1 Quote Link to comment
Derrick
Your 1st link lists C-band satellite channels for Bangladesh but obviously you're trying to scan cable frequencies. You wrote that your TV finds all channels automatically. So look up the channel frequencies from your TV and use these frequencies in the DVBViewer.. If these are analoguw channels you can't use DVBViewer. Quote Link to comment

HaraldL
What you write is very confusing. The list of DVB-S and DVB-S2 are Satellite channels. You would need a SAT dish to receive this with a DVB-S/S2 card. As you wrote "cable connection" your existing card should work. The channel list you posted can not be the proper one because Cable TV uses DVB-C, not DVB-S/S2. You cannot connect a cable connection to a DVB-S/S2 card! If you buy one it will not work without a SAT dish. With your current card you have to do a channel scan as Derrick already wrote August 27 above. Quote Link to comment
