Cian
Hi, I have just bought a Harmony Remote hub for my HTPC and other devices. I have also purchased a FLIRC receiver in the hope that I can control DVBViewer with it rather than my keyboard. I had thought the best thing to do would be to try and emulate a Media Centre remote control, but o far it has been nothing but frustrating to try and get it to work - seems to be doing all sorts of random things and nothing that I want it to do. Has anyone here got experience with this, and if so what device details do you tell the harmony remote so that most of the buttons are typically mapped? Thanks. C. Quote Link to comment
esackbauer
I use the Microsoft Media Center IR Receiver with my HTPC and it works pretty well. I am using it with a Logitech Harmony 650 Remote control. It is configured to send Media Center IR codes, they are received by EventGhost which has a plugin for the MCE IR Receiver. EventGhost has also a plugin for DVBViewer, you just need to map the commands. EventGhost can do many more things, e.g. I can switch between DVBViewer, Plex Media Player and Chrome (with Youtube in 10foot mode). Edited December 18, 2019 by esackbauer Quote Link to comment
