I guess you have used the "Cable All" transponder list for scanning, which is the last resort if there is no transpnder list tailored for your cable network. When using "Cable All", DVBViewer performs a kind of "blind scan" with a lot of parameter variations and regards any set of parameters that yields scan results as success. A device like TBS 6205, that automatically detects the modulation, is able to deliver results even if the modulation set by DVBViewer is wrong. Unfortunately DVBViewer does not get information about the true modulation that has been detected by the device or driver. So it just stores the set of parameters in the scan results that have been tried successfully. However, another device that is not able to auto-detect the modulation can't receive the channels with these parameters. So what you need for scanning is a transponder list that contains the correct parameters for each frequency (modulation and symbol rate) in your cable network. Such a list can be created with TransEdit (download from the members area). Try the following: Store TransEdit.exe in the DVBViewer program directory and launch it. Activate "Settings -> Scanner -> Mark transponders without signal with [X]". Select the Behold device on Settings -> Hardware and set Usage = Preferred. Select the "Cable All" list on the left side of the TransEdit main window. Click "Update". This will not scan for channels, but for frequency / parameter information broadcasted in your cable network. It adds new frequencies that are not yet contained in the list and even correct wrong parameters. After the scan, wrong entries in the list on the right side of the TransEdit main window will be marked with [X]. Right-click the list and select "Delete [X]-marked". Save the modified list and use it for scanning in future. Quote Link to comment
