Rodders289 0
Hi when recording from the tv the highest resolution I can get with 16:9 ratio is 720x576. Can I change this to get 960 x 540? thanks Quote Link to post
HaraldL 50
The recording is the 1:1 original stream as sent from the tv station. There is no change in resolution or data rate, it's stored just as it comes in from Sat, Cable or DVB-T. When a channel sends 720x576 the recording is also this resolution. A recording could be processed by a batch after it's finished, i.e. with ffmpeg to change format. But quality would be less if a recording is scaled to a higher resolution afterwards so I wouldn't recommend it. To get higher resolution you have to look if there's a HD version of the channel, or perhaps an internet stream with better resolution. Edited January 11 by HaraldL Quote Link to post
