DVBViewer User Interface

Hi, just a few minor user interface requests:

 

i.    [Channel Search] would it be possible to have the ‘Group by’ selection remembered when setting it to anything other then the default.  It always defaults to ‘Frequency’, rather than the one selected, it’s easy to forget to set this each time;

 

ii.    [Main page menus icons] it would be nice to be able to resize the icons so that they can be enlarged;

 

iii.    [Main page menus icons] Could a ‘Timer Recordings’ icon be added to the toolbar (Toolbar Editor).

No. This is done purposely. In the past there were a lot of support requests by users that were not only receiving DVB-T transponders (frequencies) of their region, but also the same channels from neighbouring regions with a weaker signal, causing all kinds of complaints about drop-outs, artefacts etc.. The only way to clearly distinguish channels from different regions is by frequency. That's why DVB-T users are somewhat urged to use the "Frequency" categorisation.

DVBViewer -> Help Menu -> Release Notes -> Use the browser search funktion (Ctrl+F) to search for Toolbar Editor. Two supplementary remarks:

• Resizing icons separately is not supported by DVBViewer (except if you create your own main window toolbar icon set). However, you can resize DVBViewer as a whole (including all icons) by using Resizer.exe (see DVBViewer program directory).
• Besides the VisionX icon set there is another possibility to get additional toolbar icons without having to design them yourself. The GEStyle icon set also contains an icon for the Timer Recordings window.
