a program I have or am working on wants to pass the streams to the VLC -player.
Now I would like to know how the settings should be of that VLC; version ;3.0.16 
To be able to watch the streams.

I'm using VLC (and MPC-HC) mostly to play recordings made with DVBViewer.

miss a codec,search the internet.
codec ; MPEG-2TS-Video.
Will that be it?

No. VLC does not use Windows codecs. It has its own built-in codecs.
