Something is different. Or the DMS analyze the arrived data differently. Surprising finding: When I start the DVBViewer (and watching some non-encrypted DVB-T channel) and then I start recording by DMS (DVBViewer and DMS runs concurrently) from encrypted channel "CS Film / CS Horror HD (cze)" -> video is clean (without damage) and DMS don't reporting discontinuities! There are known cases where the low CPU load that is required for recording lets the CPU temporarily change to deeper sleep states, so it can't fulfill the strict timing conditions required for live stream processing anymore, particularly when dealing with USB devices. jirim100 Posted January 29, 2022 Author Share Posted January 29, 2022 (edited) I have on all usb devices disabled "Allow this device to turn off to save power". I have in Power management disabled "USB selective suspend" too. "Power management" I have set to Max performance. In BIOS I have disabled CPU states C4 and above. These settings I am using for long time. Today I found out more: When I concurrently, in DMS (DVBViewer is not running), start tunning only (!) from some other DVB-T channel then recording from this encrypted DVB-C channel is without any discontinuities too. Today I tried the device "TT connect CT 3650 CI" and with it this problem does not exist. But it is quite old, more heating, slow retuning channels. I want to use the device "TT connect CT2 4650 CI". jirim100 Posted January 30, 2022 Author Share Posted January 30, 2022 (edited) I disabled in BIOS CPU C3 state too plus set "Package C state limit" to C2 and now, with device "TT connect CT2 4650 CI", without discontinuities! Processor load is still low: Thanks for pointing me to it! My conclusion: For recording from USB devices have to be, in BIOS, disabled all CPU C states except C1 and C2 state.
