Hi, yesterday I noticed a lot of .ts files in my C drive. Some were playable with vlc (they were dvb recordings) others not.

I deleted all of theme except one that gave me a "file in use by system error".

A decide to wipe the drive and did a clean install of windows 11 and after installing DVBViewer Pro 7.2.3 a file with the name lw_890842865.ts reappeared in my C drive.

This morinig the file was around 300mb and now is 9.5gb. This file is not playable in DVBViewer or VLC.

Does anybody know what it is and how do I prevent it from beeing created?

Many thanks

I can't imagine under which circumstances DVBViewer would create such a TS file. Though the "growing" and file size suggest something like a recording in TS format, the file name doesn't  look like a DVBViewer recording. They are all named according to the file naming scheme configured on Settings -> Options -> Recording Timers.

Here are some hints for finding out which application keeps a file open. I've tried the Resource Monitor. After entering the name of an ongoing recording in the search field it immediately displayed DVBViewer.exe as the process that is using the file.
