Channel groups in hardware

Is it possible to increase the number of channel groups in the hardware? There are currently 8 of them.

Usually you don't need channel groups, even if you had 100 satellite and 100 cable tuners.

 

Channel groups must only be used for very special cases. I don't see such a special case in your setup.

 

Don't change the default channel group settings, if you don't understand the meaning  of channel groups!

 

Here is an example for a special case that needs channelgroup configuration: If you have 2 satellite tuners, one connected to a dish pointing to Hotbird 13.0° East, and the other one to another dish pointing to Astra 19.2° East, DVBViewer doesn't know which tuner can receive Hotbird channels and which tuner can receive Astra channels. So you have to configure manually by using channel groups which tuner can receive which channels.
