Installing Skystar 2 PCI

I'm trying to install a Skystar 2 PCI card, but when I install the driver, the system hangs at the end of the procedure. When I restart, the graphics driver has gone, and I have to re-install it and sort out the desktop settings. I've tried version 4.2.10 and 4.3 drivers with the same result, and different PCI slots too.

 

I have to remove the PCI card and delete the Technisat network components before trying another installation. If I leave the card in, Windows only comes up in safe mode.

 

Operating system is W98SE with updates, Motherboard is M7NCD, graphics card is TNT2 M64 with the latest Nvidia drivers installed.
