Restore old "Timer Recordings" functionality

Hello, in the past when you had an active timer recording, You could edit the recording details such as "Name" "Start" "End" "Follow Up" ect....

If you clicked apply it wouldn't work as it was actively recording. But you could click "Add" and it would use these new settings and start a new recording with them.

You could then delete the old timer with the settings you didn't want.

Currently and for the last few versions, this has been disabled and all recording details are greyed out when a recording is active.

Often in the few mins of Lead time when a show is recording but hasn't started, I want to change some things and this is no longer possible.

Could you revert back this behaviour in a future version, or at least make it an option to toggle on/off ?

You could also issue an error, if someone changes the settings and hit's "Apply" you could error with "Sorry this timer has already begone, you can only add a new timer"

or You could grey out the "Apply" button so they could only click "Add"

Thanks

...to make clear that an ongoing recording (= active timer) can't be edited.

To achieve what you want, simply disable the timer in question (by using the checkbox on the left of the timer entry), which stops the recording and enables editing the timer. Then apply the changes to it and check the timer again to enable it and restart the recording.
