wicklow293-ebay@yahoo.com
Hello, I have a skystar 2 running on a Windows 2000 machine with a 2.8Ghz P4, 1GB of RAM and Nvidia fx5600 video card. I am also using the latest driver (4.3.0.9999) for the skystar 2 card from the Technisat web site. I have a problem with DVBViewer Pro (v3.2.5.1032) crashing when I attempt to switch to any of the BBC Channels on Astra 2. DVBViewer seems fine on all the other channels. This is strange behaviour as there is no problem viewing the BBC Channels on the Technisat edition of DVBViewer. Both editions of DVBViewer are installed on my machine in different directories. I have tried changing the settings for DirectX and other options but nothing seems to work. There is no error log created when DVBViewer crashes. The only errors I can see are in an osderror.log file with the text: “05.11.2005 12:40:02 WindowsInit Could not init the Window: The Weatherwindow” Can anybody help? Thanks. I have attached the setup.ini from the Pro and technisat editions of DVBViewer below. Details of my audio and video decoders are also in the zip file. info.zip Quote Link to comment
Klausing
hmmm where are your decoders from driver cdrom? Sonic or DVDExpress. Install it and use it in options for video and audiocodec. For the problem with the weatherwindow you have to install the weather images. Quote Link to comment

I then changed the DirectX settings in the optons menu. My settings are now: Current Device: "Flexcop based card 1 (DVB-S)" Direct Show: Video Output: Overlay Mixer Audio Format Detection is on Video Format Detection is on Use DVBSource for Mpeg Files is off MPEG Video Decoder: Intervideo Video Decoder MPEG Audio Decoder: Intervideo Video Decoder Post Processor: <none> That has done the trick and I can now watch BBC Channels with no more problems. Thanks very much for your help. Quote Link to comment
