gibman
I just bought DVBViewer and to my great surprise it wont run on my server PC. It runs fine on my laptop and on my other workstation. I have the exact same problem as this person here - same crash adresses etc. http://www.DVBViewer.com/forum/index.php?s...ic=9258&hl=asus As you can see on the attached images my error is the exact same - although it is in danish, I think you know what they mean hehe. I can run TransEdit 2.3.4 [edit 20 nov.2005] I can run DVBViewer 3.0.x I can run DVBViewer GE 1.7 I can run progDVB I can run mytheatre I can NOT run TransEdit 2.3.3 I can NOT run DVBViewer 3.2.5 I can NOT run DVBViewer 3.2.1 on a sidenote ; DVBserver.exe works on all builds, although latest 3.2.5 crashes when client connects with unicast -as someone already pointed out here on the forum. Where do I download older builds like. 3.2.4 ? They are not in the customer area ? Since I would like to start dvbserver.exe on my server, instead of having to wait for a fix that wont see the daylight anytime soon ? My Server's hardware/software config is; Asus K8V deluxe SE motherboard - via k8t800 / vt8237 win xp sp2 + latest windows update. amd 64 @ 1800mhz 1 GB RAM, pc2700 skystar2 PCI + driver 4.3.2 cirrus logic PCI gfx card, native XP drivers very old card - but I dont use overlay etc. on server. So having a low power GFX card is prefered. A usually remote desktop my server, and here I can start vers. 3.0 of DVBViewer and the video part is being sent to the remote desktop client just fint, along with the sound. This worked with progdvb also. I want to run DVBViewer on my server so I can record stuff locally, instead of doing it on the clients. DVBserver.exe has no recording facilities yet ? onboard audio is disabled. I have gathered all the interesting XML files - although I could not find; OSD.log OSDerror.log DVBViewer.log SystemInfo.txt windowdef.xml Perhaps DVBViewer doesn't get to the point where it writes these files. UPDATE: I just did some testing. I tried to remove one file at a time until I only had the DVBViewer.exe present in "C:\Programmer\DVBViewer". The exact same error happens. This might help debugging ? Regards Elo Rasmussen. Denmark. Software programmer. support.zip Edited November 20, 2005 by gibman Quote Link to comment
Guest Lars_MQ
Please use the tool on this page (at the bottom) to gather the data. Unzip it into the DVBViewer folder and run it, it will create a zipfile with all needed data, which you can inspect (to see no personal information is send) and then upload it into the forum. gibman
Update: I tried the new version 2.3.4 of transedit and it works - it doesn't crash like the previous version did. /Elo Quote Link to comment
