Da_Phreak
Hi, i bought the Cablestar 2. I have a strange problem with it. From the time is install the driver for the card, my system has every 5-10 sec a Lag for 0.5 Sec. I think that is the problem with the lags on Media Portal too, and it is nerving me in normal working. I tried the driver from the CD and the newest from the Technisat HP. But both have the same problem. I tried 2 different mouses, one PS2 and the other USB. But similar here the same problem. I did a new XP Install, but if i install the driver for the card, the problem is going on. If i deactive the card in the device manager, the lags are away. I bought it on dvbshop.net and there i searched help first, the owner had no idea anymore and said, that i should try my luck now here. Here is the threat from that forum: http://www.dvbshop.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=10266#10266 It is no networking problem, i deactivated Firewalls, Antivirus programm etc. and pulled all Networking cables out of the pc. Can someone help me? Thx Or i must send sadly the card back. The support from Technisat directly was not good, and the meaned only old drivers. And gave no second response, but the drivers was all the newest versions. boborg
My brother has a cablestar that also makes lags in windows. But if he starts DVBViewer and then closes it again it stops until he reboots of course. Quote Link to comment
Da_Phreak
Doesn´t work so at my PC and it would be no final solution. I don´t want to use the DVBViewer later, i take Media Portal. I only want that the card works correctly and without lags. The drivers for the card are from the same people that develops DVBViewer the owner of dvbshop said. Quote Link to comment
Griga
The drivers for the card are from the same people that develops DVBViewer We develop no drivers here. They are from BBTI. Did you already disable all network protocols for you card? They are not necessary for watching TV. Quote Link to comment
Da_Phreak
Yes i deactivated for the card the 4 standard network protocols in the network devices preferences. Looks like i must try the last way at BBTI. Thx Quote Link to comment
Da_Phreak
With enabling a fake data service with Setup4PC, the lag problem is gone. Hope this may help others with the same problem. Quote Link to comment
