variacZ
Hi, Is it possible to disallow screen output during recording? If not, is it possible to implement such a fetature to possibly reduce the processor load during recording? Rgds VA. Quote Link to comment
Klausing
use PVR tool. This can record wihtout screen. with cpu usage 2-5%. Quote Link to comment
zazzel
PVR tool is definitely uncomfortable and unreliable. Uncomfortable: I don't want to switch between DVBViewer and PVR tool all the time! I want to simply minimize DVBViewer (and get 2.5% cpu load). Unreliable: I tried it on several occasions. Problem is, I want to be sure that the programme I want to watch really gets written to my hard drive WITHOUT problems. Most of my recorded files (PVR Tool) resulted in garbage. - Kai Quote Link to comment

crypto
This is how I did it in the upcoming DVBPortal version. When the option render video is not set, I rebuild the graph without the call to render vpin. That's it. Audio is still rendered, because it doesn't cost that much cpu time and to have a guidance for what is going on. Any comments are welcome. -- Crypto Quote Link to comment
