ter9999 Posted December 23, 2009 Share Posted December 23, 2009 TransEdit 3.5.1.0, a bug in the interface: It look good when opening: But when click "Alt" key on keyboard, lots of controls on the interface are gone: I'm using Windows 7 Aero. Please note: This issue is there on all the sub-windows, like the Analyze, Blindscan, DiSEqC Edit windows, etc. Quote Link to comment
Griga Posted December 23, 2009 Share Posted December 23, 2009 That's a known problem with Vista & Windows 7, but I was not aware that TransEdit is affected because I only use XP. I'll add a fix, but I can't test whether it works or not. Quote Link to comment
ter9999 Posted December 23, 2009 Share Posted December 23, 2009 (edited) I'll add a fix, but I can't test whether it works or not. I can test the new version when it's available. UPDATE: This issue has been fixed in TransEdit 3.5.2.0. Thanks! because I only use XP. Hope all the DVBViewer authors can upgrade to Windows 7 w/ Aero, now the 4.3 beta version EVR Custom Renderer is not stable with Win7 Aero... Edited December 29, 2009 by ter9999 Quote Link to comment
evgen_ln Posted January 1, 2010 Share Posted January 1, 2010 Looks like TransEdit don't update correctly the group option when there is the channel with the same name but fom the another Category (not same group option) within the same Root. Quote Link to comment
Griga Posted January 1, 2010 Share Posted January 1, 2010 Please describe step by step what you have done. Quote Link to comment
evgen_ln Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Unfortunately I didn't keep the before upgrading channel list version. When I tried to reproduce the bug, it appeared to the other channels. 1. Scaned transponder. 2. Pressed to Select all 3. Select Group B 4. Chose Root 5. Click Add update As a result, for some channels of the transponder was set group A, and for some group B. Quote Link to comment
evgen_ln Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) Here is my channel list. Look Eutelsat Sesat & W4 36.0 ° / Poverkhnost TV / group was not correctly set for channels 1089602318 | Sport 2 1089667855 | TiJi, 1089733392 | Gulli. For other channels of the transponder group is set correctly. Edited January 2, 2010 by evgen_ln Quote Link to comment
Griga Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 TransEdit doesn't change user defined settings like DiSEqC, channel group etc. when updating channels. That's the expected behaviour, and that's what happens here. However, new channels are added with the TransEdit settings or, in case of settings that are not handled by TransEdit, with default presets. Double entries in the channel list should be avoided, because DVBViewer can't distinguish them in certain situations, even if the category, DiSEqC or the channel group is different, and TransEdit only updates the first one, because a scan result comprises a single link to an already existing channel, not a list of links. evgen_ln Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 I understand what you mean. But surely it would be logical to check the channel settings found on the channels list (frequency, polarization) according to the scan results before upgrading. This will avoid ambiguities. ter9999 Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Don't know if authors are thinking to integrate TransEdit MORE with DVBViewer, this could be an endeavor but a correct move -- More engineering parameters will be displayed including the TP analysis and channel CAT, etc. Quote Link to comment
Griga Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 it would be logical to check the channel settings found on the channels list (frequency, polarization) according to the scan results before upgrading. That's what TransEdit does. From the TransEdit manual: For recognizing a scan result in the DVBViewer's channel list, the tuner type and the following transponder parameters must match: Frequency (DVB-S/T/C, ATSC), symbolrate (DVB-S/C), polarisation (DVB-S), plus the service ID or alternatively the video and audio PID. Additionally TransEdit compares the orbital position for distinguishing different satellite positions, provided it is available in the DVBViewer channel list data. So what do you want? ter9999 Posted February 23, 2010 Share Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) TransEdit 3.5.2.0 and DVBViewer 4.3.1.66B can't interact correctly: If the DVB device is already used in DVBViewer, then analyze another TP (on another sat) in TransEdit using the same DVB device, sometimes, there will be no prompt and TransEdit just analyzes out nothing; sometimes, TransEdit will prompt: "Sorry - there is no DVB-S2 device available or it is not configured as DVB-S2 device." Please check. I remember TransEdit prompted "Device already in use" in former TransEdit version. Edited February 23, 2010 by ter9999 Quote Link to comment
Griga Posted February 24, 2010 Share Posted February 24, 2010 Here it works as expected. There may be discrepancies in the TransEdit and DVBViewer Pro device list. Please check it, or attach a support.zip so I can do it. Quote Link to comment

Please check it, or attach a support.zip so I can do it. I attached my support.zip here. Yes, they use different sets. So I suggest to integrate TransEdit more into DVBViewer. Something like, the "missing packages", etc to an engineering menu in DVBViewer. Quote Link to comment
Griga Posted February 25, 2010 Share Posted February 25, 2010 The relevant data in hardware.xml matches the data in the [Hardware] section of TransEdit.ini:
TeVii DVB-S/S2 Receiver 0
Name.0=TeVii DVB-S/S2 Receiver DeviceNr.0=0
DTV-DVB Mantis DVBC BDA Receiver 1
Name.1=DTV-DVB Mantis DVBC BDA Receiver DeviceNr.1=1
LME_PCTV_ABSS_AVALINK1108 2
Name.2=LME_PCTV_ABSS_AVALINK1108 DeviceNr.2=2
AmazePc DMB8G75 3
Name.3=AmazePc DMB8G75 DeviceNr.3=3 ...so I don't know what's going on. trid_ovi Posted March 4, 2010 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Hi there, the new version of Progdvb v6.32.7, permit to scan a list of satellites. Is any method that Transedit to do that? I think it is very helpful, because i let alone my computer 2 hours and after that the channel list is ready. Quote Link to comment
Lars_MQ Posted March 4, 2010 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Not necessary with transedit because it scans several times faster than progdvb Quote Link to comment
Derrick Posted March 4, 2010 Author Share Posted March 4, 2010 Not necessary with transedit because it scans several times faster than progdvb ..can't tell about scanning speed of progdvb but the time that transedit needs depends on the scanning parameters and last not least on the hardware. When there's no reception, my TeVii DVB-S2 card takes endless time before starting to tune the next frequency Quote Link to comment
trid_ovi Posted March 5, 2010 Share Posted March 5, 2010 Not necessary with transedit because it scans several times faster than progdvb Yes , is faster, but it still take 6 hrs to scan satellites from 31.3E to 30W. In this time, I must remain at the computer to pres scan all to each satellite. Really I prefer to use this time to make something else, maybe to sleep. Quote Link to comment

Griga Posted September 17, 2016 Share Posted September 17, 2016 after scan addded in INI file only 7 transponders Sometimes providers enumerate out-dated transponders or transponders with wrong reception parameters in the NIT That's why TransEdit checks if transponders from the NIT can be received (if data arrives after they have been tuned) and automatically removes them from the list if they cannot be received. 1 Quote Link to comment

Griga Posted October 2, 2016 Share Posted October 2, 2016 The Analyzer doesn't know the format since there is no PAT/PMT entry, so the Preview assumes MPEG2 video as default, which is wrong. That's why it doesn't play in TransEdit. The Header Info shows that it is H.264. You can record the video stream with TransEdit and play it in DVBViewer (also while it is recorded).
