SnoopyDog
Hi, i uploaded an update here: http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/46963-online-plugin/#entry350477 Fixed: Pluging hangs, when a YouTube user channel is opened. Reason: YouTube changed some code so that that the link to the channel background picture does not contain the text "http:" anymore. So DVBViewer tried to load an image from a location like "//i3.ytimg.com/..." which ended up in a timeout @MomoBrut: can you please provide a link to a YouTube video where you have problems? The action code should be 40006 to open up the online window, but you should use the latest version of the plugin. Right now, you can not go to one of the subpages, because it depends on the OSD skin if they are available or not. If a skin provides the file "online.xml" only, then this file is used instead of "online2.xml". Quote Link to comment
MomoBrut
Hi, thank you for the new version. The test link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKQGwMEbZkE The previous version of plugin allows 240p only, new version allows 360p as highest quality with the video in test link. The youtube portal allows even higher resolution (480p). The plugin seems to work fine with 720p and higher source resolutions, if they are available. The action for online.xml works fine, thank you again. I am not a fan of such a kind of music, but this video can not be shown with the plugin ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3mP3mJDL2k Quote Link to comment
SnoopyDog
Ah, i know what you mean. The problem is that the YouTube API stopped delivering download links for 480p, 1080p and 4k resolutions. You can find unofficial links for these resolutions, but you get video only and audio only streams. So you need to mux audio and video together before you can play it back. The other thing is that the new video link only gives you a small part ( < 1 second ) of the video. In another forum i read, that the video is delivered in many small pieces. Quote Link to comment
janee
Hi, after I watched a Youtube video the plugin returns e.g to the search window or channel window. But instead going to the last position, the plugin opens the next page. In my opinion, this is an annoying behavior. Is this a bug or a feature ? Can I control this behavior? Thx in advanced. SnoopyDog
Google (ex YouTube) changed too many things the last time: The api v2 that i use is marked as "deprecated" which means that is still exists and is working "somehow". But many things are not working good anymore. For example, there is only one standard feed "most_popular", all other standard feeds are mapped to this one. Google suggests to change from api v2 to api v3. This means you have to register your application to get a developer key. For v2 you never needed a developer key. Furthermore, determining the video URL is not easibly possible anymore for some videos (e.g. VEVO). You always have to pass a parameter &signature=40.40 value to Google (length 81 characters) to get access to the video. For the videos where the problem occurs, you get a value &s=xxxx where the length is not 81 characters! The final value has to be generated by permutation of the given characters. The rule how to do this varies for every video clip and can be found somewhere in the video player file (e.g. http://s.ytimg.com/yts/jsbin/html5player-de_DE-vflYr-OeX/html5player.js ) There is a (currently) working example in https://greasyfork.org/scripts/1317-download-youtube-videos-as-mp4/code I wrote currently because things may change again. I don't like this cat and mouse game YouTube is playing with people who like to watch videos in an app like DVBViewer. Right now i don't know if i can change this plugin, i don't have the time to play with Google. And i forgot: they canceled direct access to 1080p and 480p resolutions so you don't get the best possible picture quality within a 3rd party app anymore. So i think accessing youtube from a plugin like this will die sooner or later. Edited August 11, 2014 by SnoopyDog Quote Link to comment
mague
Another case of Wetiko. They want to get rid of the YouTube Downloader applications. An active end-user google account should be sufficient tough, but isnt. You are right, its useless to bang you head against a dumb wall of *bleep* Quote Link to comment
VinoRosso
In my opinion its totally understandable, if anyone thinks a service like youtube can be offered for free (!Adfree!), plz build one ;-) And the usabuility of this plugin inside DVBViewer is far from standards in 2014 (not a fault of the Plugin, by the way) There are more comfortable ways to browse youtube on a TV, so this isnt really a loss. rafi
hi Can I watch internet Tv from a website via DVBViewer with this plugin? For instance this link : http://www.i24news.tv/en/tv/live How can I use this link in DVBViewer to watch this channel ? Edited June 15, 2015 by rafi Quote Link to comment
Tjod
As far is I know not. But I haven't used the plug-in.The DVBViewer GE (Griga Edition) (and TransEdit 4.1) has support for TS (Transponder stream) web streams e.g. HLSbut there is only German documentation for the DVBViewer GE. You can use it besides DVBViewer Pro. You have to extract the .zip from the Members Section into its own folder.http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/8569-DVBViewer-ge/?p=427935http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/56131-internet-tv-mit-dem-DVBViewer-ge-36/http://www.DVBViewer.com/griga/There are some English informations in the TransEdit changelog.http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/2745-transedit/?p=424382The support will be added to the DVBViewer Pro. But there is no time frame for this. Mostly not the next stable version. Because therefore are many bigger changes necessary.Currently in the DVBViewer Pro you can open the .m3u like a video file. rafi
Thanks for your reply , the m3u is good for now , please tell me how did you get this link : bcoveliveios-i.akamaihd.net/hls/live/215102/master_english/398/master.m3u8 I tried to get it I couldn,t ,I tried to download it , Quote Link to comment
Tjod
To get a HLS URL you need mostly a add-on to change you user agent to a iOS device and then you can look in the source code of the page for the .m3u8 URL or use URLSnooper2 (filter Must Contain“ m3u). Or search the web, if someone else has a URL. Search for channel name and .m3u8. But there are many illegal streams out there. You shouldn't use them and they are mostly only for a short time valid. A good sign is if the stream is from a big CDN like .akamaihd.net or the domain of the TV channel. A bad sign is if there are are pay TV channels available on the server. Then it is mostly illegal. liamnoel
Hi! Can this plugin shows TwitchTV streams? Quote Link to comment
Tjod
As fare a I know not. Because there are no static URL. So you would need special support for TwitchTV http://www.johannesbader.ch/2014/01/find-video-url-of-twitch-tv-live-streams-or-past-broadcasts/ Quote Link to comment
