SkyStar 2 eXpress HD not detected in Windows 11 — driver issue or hardware?

Hey everyone,

Like the title says, I'm having trouble getting Windows 11 to detect my SkyStar 2 eXpress HD card. I'm not even sure at this point if the problem is the card itself, my motherboard, or just Windows not picking it up.

I know the card is old, but I've seen other people mention getting it working on Windows 11, just without any clear steps on how they did it.

I've gone through Device Manager completely and there's nothing there — no unknown device, no warning icon, nothing. It's like the system doesn't even know the card exists. I'm wondering if this could be because the card is old PCI/PCIe hardware and my motherboard is newer, or if there's something else going on (BIOS settings, driver signing, secure boot, etc).

Has anyone actually gotten this card running on Windows 11? If so, what did you have to do
special drivers, compatibility mode, BIOS tweaks? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Has SkyStar 2 eXpress HD already been installed on Win11, or do you want to install it for the first time?
SkyStar 2 eXpress HD needs to have additional power connected, I think it's 5 volts.
Check out my post https://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/75184-win11-technisat-skystar-hd2/#comment-525247. The procedure is the same for SkyStar 2 eXpress HD. It still works for me on Windows 11 25H2.

thank you for the reply, and sorry for the late one
im on windows 11 same version as yours, and i wanted to install it fresh on new pc
the thing is when i plug the card and i turn the pc on, i go to device manager, theres nothing such as unknown devices or something that has yellow triangle , like its not detected at all,
i tried installing windows 10 2022, same issue no detection no nothing at all, but in windows 10 i could manage to install it as network adapter and worked but stopped after  using the add hardware legacy option in device manager
but the next restart it disappeared and the network adapter had yellow triangle on it again, and tried do it again still didnt work
im not sure wheres the problem here, tried everything i could find here or the internet but still nothing worked

Old advice from Technisat I can rememeber: Try to clean the contact fingers of the card with an India rubber.

hmm i'll try that,
but first let me tell you, when i went to test it on the same windows(10) version in another older pc than mine, it worked perfectly without any issues.
i said maybe because my pc is modern and new and the card is very old thats why no detection happened and it wont be, so im guessing it wont work no matter what i try
so idk

update
managed again to install it as network adapter in windows 11, and worked
and ofc i needed the add hardware legacy option, i did multiple restart to the pc to make sure if im gonna get the yellow triangle again or no, and surprisingly its working
but still i do have the problem with sound, video and controllers one, it just doesnt detect and when i do the add hardware legacy, it hit me with code 10 error and yellow triangle as usual even tho its working as network adapter
